Originally called The Museum of Contemporary Crafts, The Museum of Arts and Design opened in NYC in 1956. MAD is dedicated to collecting objects with a focus on contemporary and historic changes in art, design, and crafts. MAD is considered a celebration of all things creative and innovation.
