Since its founding, the Bronx Documentary Center (BDC) has hosted over 80 impactful exhibitions, showcasing world-class photography and documentary work that addresses critical social issues. 

These exhibitions have attracted more than 70,000 visitors, with 70% proudly hailing from the Bronx community. The BDC remains committed to fostering dialogue, education, and engagement through visual storytelling that resonates locally and globally.

  • More than 65,000 people have attended the BDC’s exhibitions.
  • More than 5,000 youth have received training and participated in the BDC’s guided exhibition tours.
  • More than 100 BDC Youth Photo League students have won awards.
  • More than 500 adult photographers and filmmakers have participated in and benefited from BDC workshops, portfolio reviews, fellowships, and mentoring.
  • The BDC’s Latin American Foto Festival is the first photo festival in NYC history dedicated to the cultures of the homelands of the Bronx’s Latin community members.
